Day Habilitation
Day Habilitation programs can be offered to people regardless of where they live. They take place outside of a person’s home. Site-based Day Hab usually occurs at a certified site and Day Hab Without Walls typically occurs in the community.
Day Habilitation services can assist people to acquire, retain or improve their self-help, socialization and adaptive skills, including communication, travel and other areas in adult education. Activities and environments are designed to foster the development of skills and, greater independence, community inclusion, relationship building, self-advocacy and informed choice. Additionally, people accessing Day Habilitation often contribute to their communities through volunteer work.
Mozaic offers a variety of settings that include art, theater, music, gaming, photography, yoga and robotics. In addition, promoting both healthy lifestyles and mental health are essential to all the people we support.
We are continuing to ask the people we support what they need and would like in their day to ensure we continue to grow with the ever-needed changes and interests that they have. The people we support play an integral part in shaping the services and opportunities we provide.
Center for Lifelong Learning, Penn Yan
The CLL offers a variety of volunteer opportunities and community connections so people can discover their own interests, talents and aspirations. We encourage and develop independence and self esteem, additionally, our Skylarc Studio helps people explore their artistic side while they learn about various art forms and foster their artistic capabilities. Artists at Skylarc have recently been selling their work on Etsy and various art shows throughout the area.

cooking, technology, recreation, art, exercise, music, horticulture, wood working and more!

Skills training, Communication & socialization, Money management, Mobility and personal care assistance, Daily activities to increase independence, Volunteer work, Community engagement.
Clark Street Road Day Hab, Auburn
Clark Street Road supports social skills development, promotes independence, and trains in several areas of daily living: nutrition, safety skills, personal care skills, housekeeping, and healthcare and building community relationships and involvement.
Activities include:
· A number of sensory activities are offered throughout the day that may include music, and art which allows opportunities to explore creativity while promoting communication, social, and teamwork skills
· The site offers the people we support a place to explore their passions ranging from cooking and nutrition, arts and crafts, leisure, physical, and relaxation activities
· The site has both an RN and LPN on site to support the medical needs of the people we support and allows them to fully engage in both on site and community activities
· Volunteer Opportunities and Community Involvement are offered to all supported persons
Senior Styles, Auburn
Senior Styles is a Day Hab without walls program is designed for the aging population who no longer wants to work or attend a site based service. Supported persons can attend full time or part time and are an intricate part of their community. Transportation is provided for the people who cannot access public transportation. The person can choose to participate in activities with other seniors or personalize their service. They attend the local senior luncheons, bingo, ceramics, scrapbooking, plays, concerts, church, volunteer etc. While in this program, the people we support learn how to access their community and learn what it means to retire.
LIFE Day Habilitation, Oswego
LIFE Day Habilitation is a community based day program that promotes independence, inclusion, and personal choice for adults with developmental disabilities. The people we support participate in structured activities that support skill development, social engagement, and active involvement in the community.
The program is designed to help people explore interests, build confidence, and work toward individualized goals in real-world settings. By emphasizing participation and choice, LIFE Day Habilitation supports meaningful daily experiences while encouraging continued growth and independence.
Group Day Habilitation, Oswego
Group Day Habilitation provides structured, supportive services for individuals who require more intensive levels of care. The program addresses medical, social, and adaptive needs in a consistent and nurturing environment tailored to individual abilities and preferences.
Participants receive coordinated support that promotes engagement, stability, and personal wellbeing. Group Day Habilitation offers meaningful activities designed to support daily routines, social interaction, and quality of life while ensuring individuals receive the level of care they need to participate fully.
Lifestyles at 182 North Street, Auburn
Lifestyles provides a variety of classes that offer supported persons opportunities to enhance their skills in the areas of cooking, gardening, computers, repurposing and recycling, living essentials, and small construction. In addition to these classes, the program offers opportunities to improve their personal health through our fitness, nutrition, and meditation & positive approaches sessions. Music, art, open weaving, and beading classes are also offered as well. All the classes are designed to enhance independence, explore interests/hobbies, improve physical health and wellness, and work towards their personal
long-range goals.
Individuals who attend Lifestyles give direct input as to what he/she would like to learn about, which is how class subjects are determined. Every 6 months a discussion takes place between the supported person and staff in which new ideas and interests are brainstormed and a new class schedule can be determined. The variety of classes offered is vast and ever-changing.
The people we support attend Lifestyles on both full-time and part-time basis, which allows for flexibility. Classes are structured so that an individual can be accommodated to ensure that they are able to participate in classes that are of interest to them, as well as participate in other programs concurrently.
Clinton Street Day Hab, Seneca Falls
This program is a larger site and the Day Habs at this site are split into 6 different rooms. Each Day Hab targets different skills to work on. The Day Habs in this building address sensory needs, challenging behaviors, ADL skills, social skills, and communication skills. Every Day Hab ensures that Individuals are offered regular outings in the community and participate in volunteer opportunities. The programs are person centered to meet the needs of the individual.
There are also two senior Day Habs. There is one that assists the individual to enjoy retirement opportunities at program and in the community. The second senior Day Hab assists individuals who are dealing with the daily challenges of Alzheimer’s disease.
This building is a satellite site for Spotlight Studios that offers classes and opportunities in Creative Arts and Performance.
DayHab Without Walls, Auburn
This offers people the ability to integrate into their local community through various daily planned events. These person-centered activities are based on the wants and needs of the individual and their family. Individuals develop social, interpersonal, communication, work and problem solving skills. These community-based life skills are achieved through volunteer work, peer activities, physical exercise, travel planning, participation in art and cultural activities, learning money management skills and much more.
Aging with Dignity (Senior DayHab), Oswego
Senior Day Habilitation supports older adults with developmental disabilities as they transition into later stages of life. Rather than focusing on building new skills, the program emphasizes maintaining existing abilities, routines, and independence for as long as possible.
Participants engage in age appropriate activities that promote social connection, community involvement, and cognitive and physical well‑being. The program is grounded in the belief that every person deserves a dignified retirement that includes meaningful peer interaction, purposeful activity, and continued engagement in the community.
