Plans for Programming

People attending the Center for Community, Arts, and Technology will be able to choose from a menu of classes. All classes will feature professional instructors and/or Mozaic staff with expertise in these areas. All of these opportunities will promote independence, enhance quality of life, and teach new skills, potentially even increasing employment potential.

Yoga / Meditation - A practice that connects the body, breath, and mind. It uses physical postures, breathing exercises, and meditation to improve overall health. With our busy schedules and daily stress, everyone can benefit from this class!

Movement / Dance - Movement provides an avenue for becoming aware of the relationships between body, space, time, effort, and patterns. It promotes effective creative thinking, problem solving, and communication while building self esteem. Dance can improve the condition of our heart and lungs, increase muscular strength, endurance, and motor and/or aerobic fitness, and strengthen bones. This class is a great way to get all the health benefits of exercise while having fun! Participants will also have the opportunity to perform twice a year for their friends, family, and the general public.

Photography - Photography is highly beneficial to our mental health as it brings a deep sense of focus, teaches persistence, and most importantly allows us capture memories that we find valuable in our lives. Participants will have opportunities to explore their community and capture the beauty of the environment, while learning about or reconnecting with this great hobby!

Community Performance - Participants will have the opportunity to share their talents with their community! They will visit local schools, daycare centers, senior homes, etc to perform and add joy to others’ lives.

Showcase - Participants will put on cabaret-style performances every other month for their families, friends, and community members!

Karaoke - This session is for that person who loves music and singing, but might not be ready to perform in front of a live audience! This opportunity does wonders for your self esteem and confidence.

Technology - A class for that tech savvy person, or for a person who wants to learn more about computers. 3D printing, computer skills, digital art.

Gaming - Participants can use their interest in video games to socialize, meet new people, and share their skills with others to help enhance the gaming experience for all!

Art - Professional artists will teach classes on new mediums and techniques, so that participants can enhance their skills and show off and even sell their artwork at our Mozaic art shows!

Ceramics - The kiln at the CCAT will allow participants to utilize their sculpting and painting skills, and possibly discover a new hobby!

Cooking / Gardening - These classes will go hand-in-hand with one another. Participants will be using the produce grown in our garden to create healthy recipes in our cooking classes!
