Trenton earned his Bachelor’s Degree from SUNY Geneseo, and his Masters in Counseling and Certificate of Advanced Studies in School Counseling from SUNY Oswego. He earned a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Rochester. He has a Certificate of Advanced Study in Counseling Services through SUNY Oswego, and a Mental Health Counseling Certificate from the University of Rochester.  Trenton also holds a NYS School Counselor Professional Certificate and is a member of the Counseling Academic and Professional Honor Society Chi Sigma Iota. 

He has 9½ years of experience working for Mozaic, through the D.R.I.V.E. Program and the Clinic providing therapy. In addition, Trenton has been a Counselor for 21 years and he has been a School Counselor for 6 years. He also has a small private practice counseling business called “Advantage Counseling Services of the Finger Lakes.”

Trenton Barry

Deb earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Wells College in 1991 and a Master of Social Work Degree from Syracuse University in 2003.

Deb has been at Mozaic for 22 years, working in a variety of programs and roles. For the last few years, she has provided Individual and Group Therapy for individuals through the Clinic. Deb has developed and presented training modules on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, Autism, Mental Health and Therapeutic Relationships. She also functioned in the role of SCIP-R Instructor for 14 years.  Deb is certified in Positive Practices in Behavior Support by the Institute for Applied Behavior Analysis. Currently, she focuses on treatment of mental health conditions and received certification in Dialectical Behavior Therapy in 2019.

Deborah Finn

Marty earned a  Master’s Degree from Syracuse University, and she is a NYS Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor, Level II.

Marty has worked at Mozaic for nearly 15 years. She brings with her a wealth of experience in mental health, employee assistance, addictions (prevention and treatment), and the private practice field. Marty currently runs a treatment track for developmentally disabled sex offenders and provides services to others with sexuality issues.

Martha McConnell

Deb received her Master's Degree in Speech/Language Pathology from Ithaca College. She has a Certificate of Advanced Study (CAS) in Educational Administration from Syracuse University.

Deb has 40 years of experience as a Speech/Language Pathologist, evaluating and treating speech/language disorders. She was employed by Syracuse University part-time for 20 years as a co-teacher, teaching and supervising students. Deb is the former owner of Bryden Hearing Services, evaluating hearing and hearing aid fitting for 23 years. She has been with Mozaic for 9 years, providing evaluations and treatment for those with speech/language disorders.

Christopher, a graduate of Syracuse University, has been a clinical social worker with ARC of Yates/Mozaic since 2018. He is also currently an Associate Professor teaching in both the MSW and BSW programs at Keuka College. Christopher’s practice philosophy is predicated on addressing institutional mechanisms of oppression while using a strengths-based approach when working with individuals and families. Additionally, Christopher has extensive research and clinical experience working with children with autism, their educators and family members at the University of Rochester/Strong Center for Developmental Disabilities from 2010-2014.

Corinne earned her Bachelor’s Degree from SUNY Potsdam in 2013, and her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Fordham University in 2022.  Corinne chose to pursue a degree in Social Work because she feels passionate about mental health and has a desire to help others.

Corinne completed internships through Jewish Family Services of Rochester and Action for a Better Community (New Directions) while in graduate school.  Corinne also worked for The Arc Ontario as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in their residential program for three years before beginning her social work career with Mozaic.  Her experience as a DSP motivated her to continue working with individuals with developmental disabilities while utilizing her education and clinical skills.

Heather earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Houghton University, and her Master’s in Social Work from Fordham University at the end of 2022. 

Heather recently joined Mozaic after graduation. She has been working with adults with Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities since she was a camp counselor during High School. Since then, she worked as Residential DSP, Community Habilitation staff, and as a Care Coordinator.

Kathy earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy from the University at Buffalo. 

Kathy has been employed at Mozaic for over 17 years now. She believes the most rewarding part of working here is assisting individuals to achieve functional mobility, or preventing further regression of their mobility due to their lifelong disabilities.

Jennifer earned a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from The State University at Brockport and went on to earn a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Daemen College.

Jennifer just started her employment with Mozaic but was previously providing Physical Therapy services to residents in a nursing home. She is now looking forward to learning and growing with Mozaic to provide individualized care for individuals with lifelong disabilities to help them achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.

Donald holds a Master’s Degree from Temple University in Philadelphia in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) with emphasis on Curriculum, Instruction, Technology and Education (CITE). 

Donald has supported children and families for over 30 years, becoming a BCBA in 2010.  His experience includes work in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Connecticut, Canada (Prince Edward Island) and New York (Brooklyn and the Finger Lakes Region).  He has presented on Autism and family support at conferences in New Jersey, North Carolina, Texas, and Wisconsin.

Donald’s primary career focus has been on intensive early intervention for young children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.  He has served as a Behavior Intervention Specialist with Mozaic for over 4 years in Yates County.  Donald provides interventions and supports for individuals living in Mozaic residences and participants of various programs including The Center for Lifelong Learning (CLL) in Penn Yan.

Carrie earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Keuka College.

Carrie has worked for Mozaic for 11 years. She has provided OT to adults with Developmental Disabilities in a Sheltered Workshop, as well as previous work with home-based OT services to infants and preschoolers as well as adults.

Suzanne earned an Associate’s Degree from Herkimer Community College and became a Licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.

Suzanne joined Mozaic right out of college and has worked as a COTA for nearly 29 years. OT sessions focus not only on the individual’s needs, but allow for OT to be very creative with incorporating individual’s interests.

Angela Rischpater, OT/L has practiced as an OT for 26 years specializing in neurologic disorders of all ages and stages of the life span.  Her focus has been on the provision of holistic therapeutic approaches to maximize individual mobility and their interaction and experience with their environment.  Her practice settings have included the home, outpatient clinic, inpatient rehab, short term rehabilitation, long term care, hospice and aquatic and hippotherapy.   In addition to being a proud mother of two young men, she makes time for her personal interests which include mountain biking, hiking, horseback riding, yoga and pilates.

Dr. Mruzek graduated from the Psychology of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities program at The Ohio State University in 1996. Since this time, he has specialized in service to individuals with IDD and their families through direct clinical practice, research, publication, and teaching. He was an associate professor at the Department of Pediatrics at the Golisano Children’s Hospital, and he currently teaches at the University of Rochester Department of Brain and Cognitive Sciences. His clinical practice centers upon support of individuals with behaviors that compromise their success, as well as psychological and diagnostic assessment. He is a New York licensed psychologist and behavior analyst.

Daniel Mruzek, Ph.D

Dr. Bezirganian completed her Psychiatry Residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She attended Cornell University where she did her premedical studies, and earned a Bachelor’s Degree majoring in Government. She attended medical school at Drexel University in Philadelphia. Dr. Bezirganian also did a post-doctoral research fellowship at Columbia University and received her Master’s Degree in Public Health. 

Dr. Bezirganian grew up in New York City and has been providing psychiatric care to individuals with Developmental Disabilities since 1995.  She worked at Chemung ARC from 1995 to 2010, then at Mozaic from 2011 to present. She has also worked with patients with Eating Disorders since 2005.

Sophia Bezirganian, MD
Psychiatrist

 

Dr. Nobilski attended Ithaca College obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry. She attended George Washington University School of Medicine and the University of Cincinnati for medical/psychiatric training. She is board certified in Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine.

While working in college, Dr. Nobilski became interested in mental health. She enjoys volunteer work at a local pre-school, hiking, reading, gardening, and most of all, spending time with her family.

Robin earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Master’s Degree in Counseling from Michigan State University.

Robin has been working in the field for 36 years, with 31 years at Mozaic. She was initially hired as a Case Manager for Vocational, providing counseling supports to individuals in the Sheltered Workshop.  Before coming to Mozaic, she worked in community mental health counseling children, adolescents and families.  Robin currently provides Rehabilitation Counseling to a variety of individuals, some employed in the community, some utilizing work skills within agency settings, some volunteering in the community, some starting out with the goal of identifying and developing a vocational goal and direction.

Adele earned a Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Syracuse University.

Adele has been working in the field for 40 years, with 38 years at Mozaic. She was initially hired as a Vocational Counselor, providing on-the-job training and counseling supports to individuals in the community and in the Sheltered Workshop. Adele currently provides Rehabilitation Counseling to a variety of individuals, with a focus on productivity and reaching vocational goals. Individuals may utilize work skills in agency settings, volunteer, or be employed in the community.
